Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Miller Leith - Melbourne, VIC

HR & Recruitment
Source: uWorkin

The Company

McCain Foods is a world leader in innovation and manufacturing excellence. With a global footprint and international household brand, the business has experienced recent growth across Australia. An excellent opportunity has been created for an HR Senior Business - Australia based in their Melbourne head office.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Vice President HR, this Senior Business Partner will support the Commercial Finance Function at McCain Foods Australia. This leader is responsible for the operational delivery of all aspects of HR, providing the division with pragmatic HR advice and driving a high-performance based culture through the leaders. As a strong FMCG brand and business, this role requires a strong generalist, a hands-on, operational business partner.

To ensure the continued development of the division, moving the leadership group to the next level, this position will build collaborative networks with senior leadership and all internal departments, creating alignment across all functions.

Whilst the Senior Business Partner will not have any direct EBA responsibility, experience in providing generalist support in regards to ER/IR, performance management, employee engagement initiatives, L&D, recruitment, and workforce planning will be required. In addition to BAU operations, the Senior Business Partner will have accountability for a designated HR process and strategic projects.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience as a senior Human Resources practitioner in an IR-heavy area, ideally manufacturing; however, health, construction, or Agribusiness would also be relevant. They will have a strong track record in delivering pragmatic and value-adding solutions to their business and driving performance through people leadership. The SBP must have the capability to gain buy-in from the senior leadership team but will be hands-on and operationally motivated to gain the results required, functioning in a relatively lean HR team.

  • Culturally, the SBP will be practical in nature and have a strong character to be a leader of positive change. They will also demonstrate strong attributes around dealing in ambiguity, have strong resilience and flexibility, and grow their Human Resources space profile. As McCain Foods aims to continue to improve its employee engagement internally and develop its community engagement externally, the successful candidate will ideally have prior experience in either of these types of projects.
