Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner the Senior HR Advisor is responsible for providing timely and quality general HR advice and support to the business across all aspects of Human Resource Management.

This is a permanent full-time position based in our corporate office in West Perth with regular travel to our Operational site in the Pilbara region to support the Operation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver a high-quality HR Partnering service to the business across all aspects of Human Resource Management including employee relations, remuneration, recruitment, and learning & development
  • Monitor organisational trends through data and qualitative feedback, diagnose root causes and opportunities, and put in place proactive solutions to drive the business forward.
  • Develop, implement and provide ongoing support for HR processes and systems such as performance feedback and development, employee onboarding, talent management and succession planning.
  • Develop new and update existing HR policies and procedures to enable the continued maturing of the organisation’s culture and adherence to leading HR practice in areas such as diversity, inclusion, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Coordinate recurring annual activities such as remuneration reviews, workforce planning, talent review and performance management.
  • Provide coaching to leaders to support effective workplace relationships and increase skill level in employee management.
  • Deliver and enforce Pilbara Minerals legal obligations pertaining to employee relations, Equal Opportunity, immigration and any other relevant employment related laws.


  • Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Psychology or other related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a HR generalist role
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of employee relations practices, including workplace investigations and case management
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence a wide range of business stakeholders
  • The ability to apply technical/professional knowledge and structured thinking to solve complex problems and recommend practical, fit for purpose solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and an orientation towards high quality delivery of work
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary HR methods and practices and being able to create and manage change
  • An ability to proactively initiate improvement opportunities from conception through to design and implementation
  • Strong data analytic skills, including the use of MS Excel for reporting purposes
  • Exposure to HR information systems including performance management, recruitment, workforce planning, talent management, and learning management systems
