THE ROLE
• This is a full time, permanent role.
• If you don’t have management consulting experience - not a problem. You bring the procurement and sourcing experience and the right personal attributes, and we’ll help you with the consulting skills.
• This is not a typical management consulting role. You will not sit in the background while your boss does the interesting stuff. 
• You will work onsite and directly with the client, from executives to employees on the shop floor. You will be part of putting together the business case through to implementation.
• You will have incredible exposure and learning, with the ability to work on different projects which interest you.
Your first projects include:
• End-to-end sourcing and procurement across categories such as utilities and food supply, as well as developing the environment, social and governance framework aimed at reducing waste and increasing sustainability for an aged care client.
• Developing the procurement strategy including, establishing supplier contracts and relationships for a food client.
• Developing the international sourcing function, including building an operating model for the organisation to support the international sourcing for an ecommerce retailer.

BEING A MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
The primary role of a Management Consultant is to work as part of a team engaged with a client in a business improvement project, using a combination of the Pollen toolkit, creative thinking and good business practice.
Projects vary in size and duration but typically last between 12 and 30 weeks, with a team of 1 - 3 Pollen employees. Consultants will frequently spend 4-5 days each week on the client’s site, with training and development time is allocated within this.
Consultants play a role in sales and networking by identifying and communicating opportunities for repeat business with existing clients.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING TO JOIN THE TEAM
We are looking for an experienced professional to join the team and become part of our growing family of talented industry experts. Whilst previous experience in implementation/change management consultancy is a plus, you will describe yourself as having:

• A strong analytical skill set, able to manage large amounts of data as well as competency in analytical tools such as: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, with knowledge of BI tools an advantage.
• A degree, typically in Business Studies, but may also be in Economics, Engineering, Sciences, or another numerate / analytical degree.
• An innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, with a preference not to follow the rule book, enjoying the autonomy and freedom of being innovative, taking initiative, thinking on your feet and making decision to drive outcomes. You don’t just think outside the box, you don’t ‘see the box’.
• A dynamic personality to confidently engage and connect with all levels of an organisation from the boardroom to the shop floor.
