JOB DESCRIPTION

The Victorian Government has established the Labour Hire Authority (LHA) to implement a licensing system to regulate the provision of labour hire services in Victoria. The LHA will undertake licensing, compliance and enforcement activities, maintain public registers and conduct research and education. The Compliance and Enforcement Manager will lead, manage and mentor a team of Compliance Officers undertaking activities, in accordance with the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018, and other relevant legislation and policies.

The Labour Hire Licensing Authority (LHA) is an independent statutory body established to regulate the provision of labour hire services in Victoria. The LHA works to provide protection for vulnerable workers against exploitation by providers of labour hire services and host employers and to improve transparency and integrity of the labour hire industry. The Authority will licence labour hire providers, undertake enforcement and compliance regulatory activities and maintain a public register of licensed labour hire providers. A critical focus of the Authority is broad collaboration and engagement with stakeholders and the sector to maximise compliance.

 COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT MANAGER

  • Salary Range: $124,033 - $165,983 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Tenure: Ongoing 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Bendigo or Melbourne

The Compliance and Enforcement Manager is a key leadership position required for the ongoing compliance and enforcement operations of the LHA, and will lead, manage and mentor two teams of Compliance Officers undertaking compliance and education activities, inspections, sensitive and/or complex investigations and enforcement activities in accordance with the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018, and relevant policies and procedures.

The role will identify and report on issues and trends arising through investigations and reviews for analysis and resolution by the senior management team.

The Compliance and Enforcement Manager will also be responsible for the development and implementation of compliance and enforcement strategies and delivery standards aimed at maximising stakeholder and industry compliance in line with the Authority's strategic priorities.
