The opportunity

We currently have a full time, 6-month maximum term opportunity for a HR Officer to join QIC’s HR team based in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager – HR Operations, the HR Officer works within a team to deliver high quality operational and transactional services to QIC’s internal client base. The core focus for the role is the provision of timely and quality HR advice and service for manager and employee requests, and to ultimately deliver high levels of satisfaction for our workforce.

In the role you will be a visible and active member of the HR Connect team leading and coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities, handling employment and policy related queries, on-boarding, coordination and administration of promotions, transfers & other employment related changes and separations.

This is a role that requires exceptional organisation, prioritisation and ability to adapt to change and involves a high degree of verbal and written communication, attention to detail, documentation compilation, record keeping, data analysis and a passion for audit/compliance activities.

About you

As a strong candidate for this role, you will have at least 3 years of relevant HR generalist experience, including end to end recruitment experience. Ideally you have a strong track record across generalist HR areas and are ready to take on a broader HR role with a willingness to get things done when there are multiple priorities and demands.

You have either completed or are completing HR or related qualifications and have a keen interest in the human resources field. You will be a self-starter and a strong team player who builds strong relationships and rapport with colleagues.
