The Opportunity
This role supports the Group Manager - Organisational Culture and Development by contributing to the design, development and deployment of group-wide organisational development and culture initiatives. Taking the lead on small to medium sized culture and development projects, this person will work in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure interventions deliver upon the People & Culture and Group strategies.

OceanaGold have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Culture and Organisational Development Specialist to join their corporate team.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Organisational Culture & Development, this is a newly created and hands-on role. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of Group-wide culture and development initiatives include organisational values, culture, leadership, capability development and reward and recognition.

About You
This role would either suit an experienced Culture & Organisational Development Advisor / Specialist or an Organisation Psychology graduate who is looking for a career role where you will be exposed to a range of best-in-class OD approaches and methodologies. You can expect a fast-paced working environment, where there is balanced focus on the achievement of objectives and high-quality support for people to develop and grow.

To be successful you will be a strong communicator and a committed team player with experience designing and developing a range of organisational development programs and initiatives. You will also be tech savvy, ideally with some experience or exposure to modern learning technologies (such as learning experience platforms). You will be confident engaging with diverse groups of people to understand development needs and deliver effective solutions. Any exposure to Human Synergistics and/or Korn Ferry tools will be highly regarded, as will experience in the industrial sector, such as logistics, transport or maritime.

Core Job Focus:
To meet the requirements of the position, it is essential that you are able to:

  • Contribute to the drafting of HR frameworks and tools within an area of expertise, ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements.
  • Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
    Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analytics of key themes and trends.
  • Design learning sessions to meet the requirements of a specified curriculum or to fill gaps in existing programs; develop and maintain relevant content and high-quality training resources to ensure high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Deliver training sessions or short courses, engaging, advising, and guiding learners and evaluating the achievement of intended learning outcomes.
  • Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Carry out a range of research activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
  • Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
  • Provide advice, training, and assistance to users to resolve queries and ensure the applications/website capabilities are well understood by the business.
  • Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
