Essendon Football Club has a reputation as a leader in the Australian sports industry and we are committed to our vision of being recognised as the most respected, inclusive and successful sporting club in the country, consistently setting the benchmark both on and off the field. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a People & Risk Coordinator to ‘Don the Sash’ and join our People & Culture team based at our club headquarters (The Hangar) in Melbourne Airport.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of People and working as part of a team, the People & Risk Coordinator will focus on matters spanning the entire People & Risk portfolio. Supporting all people and risk you will be responsible for:

· Managing the day to day People enquiries

· Coordinating internal end to end recruitment processes 

· Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding experiences with hiring leaders

· Prepare employment contracts and variation letters for employees

· Support HR policy review and improvement across the team

· Maintain position descriptions and other relevant HR documentation

· Administrative support including updating HR information system

· Manage general employee enquiries and correspondence

· Provide support to HR projects as required

· Assisting with implementation of best practice Admin processes and procedures

· Data reporting & analysis of workforce

· Updating & maintaining HR policies 

What we are looking for?

To be considered for the role, candidates must have the following essential skills and experience: 

· Completed tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or relevant with previous experience working as a HR Administrator/Coordinator.

· An understanding of Fair Work Act, Work Cover and employment legislation

· Strong planning and organisational skills.

· Strong customer service skills and experience

· Excellent administrative and IT skills

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with people at all levels

· Demonstrated ability to take initiative

· Can do attitude with a strong sense of ownership to see a task through from start to finish

· Great computer skills with impeccable attention to detail

· Ability to work as part of a team and provide support across the business as needed.

· Permanent Residency in Australia, or appropriate visa to work permanently

· Current drivers license to travel to and from the Club’s venues
