Gateways Support Services has been making a positive difference to children, adolescents and adults with autism, intellectual disability and complex needs across Western Melbourne, Geelong and the South-West for over 20 years. With a workforce in excess of 750, Gateways is embarking on a strategy that will see greater investment in our people and in the range and diversity of services and supports provided to our families. Due to a restructure, an Executive leadership role has become available, one that will drive the future of Gateways and its participants. Gateways is seeking applicants that reflect the ambition to be ’Exemplary in Everyway’ as they strive to be the market leader in support services.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager People & Performance will be responsible for developing innovative HR strategies for the organisation. With 3 direct reports, you will deliver exemplary internal services and bring contemporary best practice to recruitment and retention policies, OHS management, workforce capabilities, and skills building with a clear focus on coaching and mentoring the growth and development of all staff.

An excellent communicator and mentor, you will thrive implementing best practice processes as Gateways looks to further expand its leadership in the sector. The position will have a key mandate to embed initiatives that foster a positive and high-performance culture that are aligned to the customer focused values of the organisation.

A human resources professional, you will understand complex Enterprise Agreements and design frameworks that can adapt to future change. Candidates will have a positive attitude and sense of purpose aligning with their vision. You will be confident, inquisitive and analytical, seeking answers utilising your creative problem-solving capabilities. You will have at least 8 years experience within human resources and people & culture at a senior level, a desire to constantly evolve and manage a workforce with a diverse skillset, and with a proven ability to influence and deliver change across an organisation.
