Training Coordinator | Melbourne Fresh Distribution Centre 
 

  • Support the onsite team in successful implementation of a training strategy 
  • 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Overview
 
Located in Truganina, Victoria, Melbourne Fresh Distribution Centre (MFDC) is an important enabler to the Supply Chain strategy, and allows the Woolworths Victorian network to be “faster and fresher” by consolidating all our fresh produce lines into one facility.
 
This role forms a crucial part of our team at MFDC, by helping upskilling our team to ensure we are working end to end as one team to deliver to our stores and most importantly it will help to keep our team safe. 
 
In this role you will be working closely with a number of our leadership team, and you will have the opportunity to make a real impact whilst having some fun along the way. 
 
The Opportunity
 
Working in a passionate and supportive team, time will be spent building relationships and creating engagement, as well as: 

  • Supporting the onsite team in successful implementation of a training strategy for 250+ team members
  • Coordinate the schedule and attendance of 250+ team members to their relevant training sessions
  • Prepare and disseminate all training material, feedback forms and collating of results.
  • Monitor, manage and report on training outcomes aligned with compliance requirements
  • Communicating with participants and relevant Training Management/ Staff pre, mid and post course
  • Administering a record system to track employee’s participation and progress.
  • Providing candidate profiles to workforce planning.
  •  The role will work closely alongside our Training Manager and Workforce Planning Manager, to provide effective learning experiences that meet business requirements. 
  • Update and maintain relevant Promapp process as required
  • To ensure we are keeping our produce fresh we do operate in a temperature controlled warehouse environment, which means where we work is 2 degrees all year around. 

 
Who we’re looking for
 
 
Our new Training Coordinator will be driven and passionate, keen to get things done and able to make an impact in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for a team player with:
 

  • Experience with development and implementation of large scale training plans and programs in a similar environment
  • Have a Certificate IV in Training and assessment
  • Experience with Promapp or a similar program
  • Relevant experience facilitating group training, face-to-face, online and blended training delivery approaches
  • Comfortable to work in a fast paced and deadline driven project environment
  • Flexibility and agility of mind to implement measured contingency plans
  • A strong focus and commitment to quality, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business
