As our Learning and Development professional, you will partner with the Operations team to ensure our staff have the right training in order to their job to the highest of standards.

What you’ll do

  • Be confident in organising and facilitating inductions, ensuring content is fit for purpose.
  • Ensure all training records are up to date, monitor staff completions and ensuring the Learning Management System is maintained.
  • Work with the Operations team to determine what training is required and either purchase online content or develop your own.
  • Create a new staff performance monitoring/development process including scoping and implementing the use of an online platform to manage staff performance.
  • Create and review Learning and Development procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Reporting to the Executive Manager of People and Culture, you’ll also play a crucial role in implementing our strategic People and Culture Strategy, helping our organisation to deliver excellent services to the people we support.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and experienced professional with a tertiary qualification in Learning and Development. You’ll need:

  • excellent verbal and writing communication skills
  • able to develop online and face to face training
  • confidence in facilitating face to face training
  • experience designing and running performance monitoring systems
  • strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
  • ability to analyse and present data in various formats
  • ability to create/review procedures and provide recommendations
  • demonstrated understanding of current best practice

You should also be able to:

  • ‘manage upwards’ to deliver on our People and Culture strategy
  • build strong relationships inside and outside our organisation
  • be proactive and able to work autonomously at times
  • prioritise and project management work
