Full Job Description
Scenic Rim Regional Council delivers community services and infrastructure to a population of more than 40,000. With a team exceeding 420 employees, we are committed to shaping a progressive future for our community through collaboration, integration and innovation. We are extremely proud of our region which is well renowned for its breathtaking scenery, agricultural and tourism industries.

This is an opportunity to join our team to deliver timely, accurate and generalist human resource (HR) support across Council. The successful position incumbent will work in partnership with operational Portfolios in administering processes related to the employment lifecycle, learning and development activities and employee engagement activities.

Key responsibilities of this role include the following:
Administer employment lifecycle processes including populating position descriptions, advertising vacancies, onboarding, probation, and cessation activities.
Provision of quality and timely HR advisory and processing services
Data management including use of HR information systems,.
Assist with coordinating apprentices and trainees, employee licencing and qualification records, learning and development activities, performance reviews, employee engagement activities and participate on appropriate level recruitment panels as required.
Contribute to a collaborative team and assist with project activities.

The successful applicant will bring:
Three or more years of experience providing HR services ideally within a multioccupational workforce
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field well regarded
Digital literacy including working knowledge of HR information systems, e-recruitment platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of contemporary HR practices and trends including working knowledge of interpreting policies, procedures and industrial instruments
Knowledge of local government or public service operations will be well regarded.
Demonstrated experience preparing HR correspondence.

Conditions of employment for this full-time position will be in accordance with Council’s Enterprise

Bargaining Agreement and relevant Awards with the remuneration commencing at between $70,422 per annum. Temporary HR Officer opportunities may also be filled through this process.
