Job Description

The position

The HR Coordinator contributes to the overall success of Marist180 and the Human Resources team by partnering with Hiring Managers to identify and address their individual talent and workforce requirements, attracting and sourcing suitable candidates, and undertaking ‘best practice’ end to end recruitment activities across the organisation.

Primary accountabilities of the role of Recruitment Officer include, but are not limited to:

  • Working under general direction, manage end to end recruitment activities in a timely manner including but not limited to advertising, screening of resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews/assessments and coordination of the pre-employment checks.
  • Manage offer processes and negotiate compensation package.
  • Work in partnership with Hiring Managers to identify talent and workforce requirements including immediate and future hiring needs.
  • Create and manage talent pools.
  • Work in collaboration with the Hiring Manager to design position descriptions, interview question and other selection documentation.
  • Develop positive, effective and cooperative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Maintain recruitment and HR records according to policy, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Provide recruitment reports as required.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and undertake project work as required.

Skills required to demonstrate success within this role:


  • Proven experience with large volume recruitment, managing a large portfolio across a variety of roles.
  • Attention to detail, time management and a sense of urgency.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and problem solve.


  • HR qualifications is an advantage.
  • Exposure to not-for-profit or Community Services.
  • Experience working with Human Resources Information System ELMO.
