Benetas is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting older Victorians, their friends and carers, through a range of aged care, allied health and in-home services.

About the position:

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join our outstanding People, Culture and Diversity team for a nine (9) month full time contract covering a temporary internal development opportunity.

As a Human Resources Officer (HRO), you will work closely with your peers and the HR Business Partners, to contribute to providing a high level of HR support to our stakeholders across a variety of generalist aspects. At Benetas, we are dedicated to developing our teams professionally, and are looking for an employee that will embrace new challenges within a rapidly expanding industry.

You will also bring your experience in recruitment to deliver amazing first impressions to potential Benetas employees. Using your infectious personality and ambition, you will support Managers through the recruitment process and drive to search for the best candidates to fill our roles.

If you are a high performer that is looking to develop your HR generalist experience to the next level, than we want to hear from you! This role is a great stepping stone for an early career HR professional or recruitment specialist to develop into a true HR generalist.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Providing timely and quality advice and support on generalist HR inquiries, via phone and through the HR Helpdesk;
  • HR administration including contract generation, on boarding, contract variations and off boarding;
  • Managing and supporting recruitment activities for your designated portfolio;
  • Identifying process improvements and involvement in HR projects such as workforce planning, employee engagement and attraction and retention.

You will have:

  • Experience in driving recruitment or supporting HR administration;
  • Have strong organisation skills and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced working environment;
  • Have savvy computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly;
  • Work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders across the organisation;
  • Be friendly, empathetic and positive and are naturally able to build relationships that make a difference;
  • Have an innovative outlook and desire to improve processes and systems.
