About the opportunity

Recruitment Operations is seeking a highly skilled, strategic and consultative Manager, Recruitment Advisory for to join our Recruitment team. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Central Recruitment, this role leads a team of Recruitment Partners, Consultants and Officers towards delivering best-in-class recruitment services to the University's central portfolios. This role is a 12 month parental leave cover and would suit a highly experienced recruiter that can hit the ground running and bring enthusiasm, skills and positivity to the team. Your creative focus in driving continuous improvement initiatives is essential as we strive for a contemporary approach towards service excellence and delivery.

You will be partnering with various senior leaders across the University's Professional Service Units (PSUs) to provide a holistic and consultative approach to talent acquisition and recruitment. Fostering a client-centric and proactive culture, you will lead your team to become SME's within their portfolios with the aim to appoint top professionals in support of the University's Strategic Plan and workforce strategy. The Manager, Recruitment Advisory position will see you take on a range of duties including, but not limited to;

  • guiding your team to proactively determine current and future client needs and key challenges in order to provide expert advice and implement tailored recruitment solutions
  • undertaking stakeholder consultation and engagement to ensure ongoing support and understanding of the Recruitment Team's purpose and strategy
  • identifying L&D opportunities and building team capability towards ensuring exceptional candidate care and a seamless experience for hiring managers
  • preparation of management reports, dashboards and key analytics to assist in informed decision making
  • workload allocation to ensure seamless coverage of high recruitment volumes at peak periods
  • collaborating with senior leadership, other HR Centres of Expertise and internal stakeholders to drive service excellence.

  • extensive experience in delivering comprehensive recruitment lifecycle solutions
  • proactive consultation with stakeholders and clients to drive continuous improvement, aimed at delivering exceptional, fit for purpose recruitment services
  • tact and professionalism in negotiation with stakeholders or clients, supplier/ vendor management, and when handling escalated service issues
  • superior communication and negotiation skills and can comfortably adapt to different audience groups
  • strong aptitude for report writing, data analytics and provision of ad-hoc client information
  • the ability to foster a "can do" attitude in the team with positive, motivating and inspiring leadership.


Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University. Similarly your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
