SEA Gas are looking for a recent graduate or a current (penultimate or final year) Human Resource Management Student (or one with a related discipline) to join our fast paced and growing team on a casual, fixed term basis!

SEA Gas was established in 2002 to provide a route for the Otway and Bass basin producers to supply gas into the Adelaide market. SEA Gas developed the 700km underground, high-pressure natural gas transmission pipeline system from Port Campbell to Adelaide and has operated and maintained the pipeline system ever since. In 2016, SEA Gas acquired the 80km Mortlake Pipeline to grow our asset base.

The natural gas we transport helps power industries, households and businesses in South Australia and Victoria. We are proud to provide flexible and reliable services to our customers and essential energy to the community!

Role Responsibilities

The Human Resources Assistant reports to the Head of Human Resources (currently the Chief Executive Officer) and is responsible for providing administrative services to support the organisational Human Resources function.

This is a fixed-term, casual role (starting Jun/Jul 2021 - ending Nov 2021) with a review nearing the end of contract for possible extension. An ideal position for a current university student looking to build their HR skills!

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing improvement to and streamlining of the Human Resources records and processes and for providing reception duties and relieving administration during absences, as well as being a champion for culture and workplace initiatives.

More specifically, this role is responsible for:

  • Human Resource Administration
  • People and Culture Initiatives Support
  • Reception duties
  • Office Support
  • Maintaining Confidentiality


  • Must be available to work Mon-Wed (we are flexible around hours/university schedule)
  • Must be nearing completion (penultimate or final year) of university degree in Human Resource Management or a similar discipline

  • Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only (inc. New Zealand Citizens)
