HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is pivotal to the success of the People function. This role actively supports the HR team, managers, team leaders, and employees, in order to develop and nurture high-performing teams.

With a strong emphasis on HR advice and support across the full HR lifecycle, this role is responsible for assisting the HR Business Partners and broader people team in the full employee lifecycle.

The HR Generalist will ensure our managers and employees are supported to be successful in their roles, which in turn contributes to high levels of employee engagement and reduces turnover.

As a HR Generalist, Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

  • HR Advice – assisting leaders to build high-performing teams, with high employee engagement and low employee turnover, whilst maintaining SiteMinder’s brand both internally and externally.
  • Performance Management - assist with managing any formal processes and work with line managers to address performance or conduct issues with employees.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management - Assisting the HR Business Partners, ensuring the smooth transition of employees throughout the entire employment lifecycle.
  • Conducting employee induction and onboarding, working with relevant teams to ensure scheduling of induction and training for all new employees
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying for new perks and benefits, and organising team building activities
  • Planning and executing wellness, engagement and social initiatives
  • Completing exit interviews and offboarding tasks for departing team members
  • Assist HRSS team with HR admin, reporting and payroll as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Proven work experience as an HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (HRMS)
  • Experience delivering employee induction and onboarding
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining great employee experiences across the employee lifecycle
  • Confidence to work autonomously, constantly using their initiative and exceptional problem-solving skills
