About You

About the Role
Reporting to the P&C Business Partner, you will provide P&C operational advisory support to employees and managers within the Adelaide Remand Centre. You will coach managers on complex performance management activities, whilst navigating ER/IR risks. You will proactively contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary P&C management practices. As a critical support to the business, you will act as a project lead on new business, change in process, address employee grievances and other P&C advisory tasks. By use of appropriate systems, you will maintain and track P&C related activities. Moreover, you will demonstrate flexibility & efficiency to support the business, to ensure deliverables are achieved with ease.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
Operational experience in a detention/security environment (desirable)
Demonstrable experience in managing complex employee matters in a blue-collar unionised environment including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and terminations.
Experience in providing generalist human resources support to internal stakeholders at all levels in coordinating and implementing strategic organisational change and aligning human resources and organisational development strategies with overall business strategy.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sound experience understanding and interpreting industrial instruments and policy application
