APAC HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER


THE OPPORTUNITY 

As Teladoc Health continues to increase its global reach and expand our ability to provide virtual care across the world, we are growing our HR team in Melbourne, Australia. The APAC HR Manager will be responsible for implementing HR practices and policies, shape our culture, engage our employees to drive organizational results in Australia, New Zealand, China and other APAC locations.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide support to the General Managers, helping to develop and execute our people strategy and practices in those countries, strengthen and embed our company's core values and culture and our company's overall business goals.
  • Provide day to day coaching and performance management guidance; work with managers and employees to build strong work relationships, driving high morale, productivity and retention.
  • Guide managers through the execution of HR programs, processes and strategic initiatives (e.g., performance management, recruitment and selection, talent management and succession planning, compensation planning.
  • Ensure HR processes and practices are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements, including but not limited to leave policies, recruiting and onboarding compliance, Disciplinary procedures, and Termination practices. Identify and mitigate possible labor risks.
  • Champion HRIS-related initiatives and ensures processes and procedures are developed, implemented, and followed.
  • Work closely with the global HR colleagues in order to provide HR solutions.
  • Responsible for the payroll process. This includes overseeing all administrative activities related to payroll. Responds in a timely and knowledgeable manner to employees' queries on payroll, benefits, Union and taxation.
  • Industry experience in managing benefit programs. 
  • Provides support to prepare budget in partnership with business leaders and Finance.
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Prepares and delivers small and large group oral presentations.
  • Manage HR Providers.



SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS


  • University degree in Business Administration, Law or Social Sciences, Bachelor degree in HR Management or a similar academic education.
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources would be highly appreciated.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR, thorough knowledge of HR best practices and experience in implementing HR frameworks and policies.
  • Professional work experience in an international health care company or fast-paced startup would be highly appreciated.
  • Experience of managing and analyzing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plans.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, new trends and benchmarking.
  • Analytical and workforce planning skills
  • Comfort with change, innovation and risk-taking.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships and provide high quality service with key internal partners.
  • Solid initiative, driven self-starter; able to work independently and manage results.
  • Ability to see big picture but understand details and operational realties.
  • Leadership to influence, work in matrix organization.
  • Direct supervisory experience.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, project management skills.
  • Fluent in English, in both written and verbal form. Additional languages desirable. Chinese would be highly appreciated.
