Come and work for St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (Vinnies), we have been serving the local community since 1924. This is your opportunity to contribute to the Society and make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing disadvantage. Vinnies continues to offer a “hand up” to people in need even through the most challenging times such as the impact of devastating bushfires and COVID-19.

Working as part of the human resources team and reporting to the Director People and Culture, you will play an integral role in the delivery of the Society’s people strategies, enabling it to meet its current and future goals. You will actively support the development and delivery of effective people and culture services and frameworks for the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Human Resources professional who has clearly demonstrated and proven experience within a multifaceted environment. This should include the design and implementation of contemporary and evidence based people strategies to attract, develop and retain quality employees whilst building a performance culture that delivers on the core values and purpose of an organisation.

You will have a strong personal commitment to the values and purpose of Vinnies, as well as be known as a leader who inspires and engages with people at all levels. You will have the proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing valued advice to Executives and representing the organisation with diverse stakeholder groups.

Qualifications in Human Resources and/or proven commensurate hands on experience along with ongoing professional development is essential. You will also have a demonstrated understanding of the Australian National Workplace Relations system and related Acts and employer obligations. A background in Industrial/Employee Relations will be highly regarded.
