Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR function based in Karawatha, QLD.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract sitting in our palletised express business responsible for providing operational HR services to 1200 employees and their managers across 4 sites. Due to the large volume of personnel it is imperative that you are used to administering high volumes of documentation, can work simultaneously on multiple issues, and are adept at running grievance, investigation and misconduct processes.

Working with the HRBP your remit is to provide day to day support to a number of local managers on people issues including: general HR policy/legislation, Contract generation, and performance management processes.

As the HR Advisor, you will:

  • Assist with managing grievances and manage/conduct investigations where required as per the relevant Policies & Standards;
  • Provide ad hoc support / advice / guidance to employees when required and escalate as appropriate.
  • Provide advice to Managers and Employees and follow up as necessary regarding flexible workplace arrangements
  • Provide change management activities when rolling out new HR processes or initiatives.
  • Provide the business with information to ensure compliance and people management practices are executed.
  • Administer high volumes of documentation.


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Preferably a tertiary qualification in HR or a business-related discipline.
  • More that 3 yrs experience in a similar HR role.
  • Ability to work with HR systems and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • To be agile and adaptive to change.
  • Possess superior stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement & commercial acumen.
  • Manage multiple issues, priorities and allocate resources.
