About us

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation response, including:

Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers
Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, CQV is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Emergency Accommodation program for community members and their close contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 and where an assessment has concluded that there are no other suitable alternative accommodation options for self-isolation.

Infection control and prevention is the primary objective of the mandatory quarantine and emergency accommodation programs.

About the role

The Trainer is responsible for supporting for the development and subsequent delivery of training packages that deliver the learning objectives for CQV employees. The role may also maintain contractual arrangements with external training providers and incorporate quality assurance measures to ensure that training packages remain efficient and effective.

Highly motivated, and a natural rapport builder, your excellent communicational, organisational, time management skills will enable you to be a perfect candidate.

Your key responsibilities will also include:
Complete timely data entry into the departments learning management system and produce high level reports on compliance and completion rates as required
Work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders in order to understand their service delivery needs and responsibilities and identify major risk factors to service delivery.
Assist in the development of evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness and continuing relevance of program deliverables, make recommendations and design improvements to development of programs.
Support the contextualisation and revision of existing training materials and support the development of training resources to effectively support the delivery of training.
Contribute to relevant policies and procedures on training and development relating to CQV, including induction training schedules, relevant rosters and staff skills development as required.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:
Advanced facilitation skills, including coaching, mentoring and supporting others to develop these skills
Knowledge of training and assessment processes, including the conduct of training needs analyses, workplace learning methodologies and mentoring systems.
Advanced understanding of managing critical incidents, staff deployment and high level management skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
