Formula for Success

This new position as Senior EHS Specialist will lead the development and implementation of new Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and systems. You’ll work with people across our business to assess our current state, and put in place a strategy to bring our organization to the place we need to be to ensure the health and safety of our people, and compliance of Australian and New Zealand regulations and legislation.

You’ll

  • Lead the development of the ANZ EHS framework, with associated robust processes and tools
  • Organise training and awareness programs in line with your analysis of current safety metrics and incident trends
  • Champion the company EHS Consultative Committee through guiding and supporting representatives
  • Support a cultural change journey towards a more risk-focussed approach
  • Lead incident investigation using ICAM methodology to ensure appropriate corrective actions
  • Proactively develop training material for internal staff to foster a risk culture of understanding and ownership
Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate experience in developing and implementing complex safety strategies with a strong understanding of working within a highly-regulated industry. You’ll have experience using your solution-focused nature in analyzing the current state of an organization and it’s risk culture, and implementing a structured plan and approach to developing this.

Also
  • Qualification in Safety and Environment, Auditing, and/or Training and Assessment desired
  • An understanding of the Chemical or Engineering industry preferred
  • 10 years’ experience in EHS advisory roles, with experience implementing company-wide EHS strategies desired
  • Experience creating policies and procedures in line with ANZ regulatory framework
  • Demonstrated relationship management of regulators and industry bodies
