    Job Description

    Reporting into the HR Manager, this role is responsible for managing the OSH function, this includes, OSH policies and procedures, Injury Management and Workers Compensation. Duties will include but are not limited too;
    • Developing and implementing a strategic Safety Management Plan
    • Coordinating incident investigations and ensure the systems & processes are in place to manage workplace incidents
    • Developing and coordinating OSH audit programs and the implementation of OSH policies and procedures
    • Monitor workers compensation claims and liaise with the employee and the insurance company
    • Educate and support line managers to manage workers compensation claims
    • Coordinate and implement the organisations Employee Assistance Program
    • Manage the return to work process for inured employees
    • Liaise with medical practices with regards to the inured employee
    • Create reports and present on OSH matters such as incidents and OSH performance
    • Drive a high-performance culture of H&S across the business

    The Successful Applicant

    To be successful in this position you need to demonstrate extensive working experience andknowledge in Occupational Health & Safety, Injury Management and workers Compensation as well as extensive experience in the coordination, management and delivery of occupational safety and health and injury management services in a multi-site and multidisciplinary organisation. Excellent communication skills are a must with the ability to drive change and a high-performance culture of Health & Safety. A minimum requirement is Cert IV in Occupational Safety and a territory qualification in OH&S or in a relevant Health discipline is desirable.
