Job Description

The position of HR Advisor is now vacant and presents as an exciting opportunity for an energetic and ambitious individual who has aspirations of working in a fast paced, hands on, technical environment, in a role that is focused on providing HR support and advice to key business leaders.

The HR Advisor is a 'hands on' HR support function that will coordinate the administration, logistics and procedural aspects of various HR functions across the employment life cycle within a dedicated Eurofins scope. This responsibility will include coordination and preparation of confidential HR, OHS, and other employment related documentation and the development / management of key HR processes, such as recruitment and probation, for a dedicated scope.

Primarily reporting to the Business Line Leaders for our Agroscience and BioPharma Product Testing divisions, and functionally reporting to the HR Director – Australia New Zealand, the role will serve key stakeholders (particularly the Business Unit Managers) and is responsible for the following crucial objectives:

  • Confidential HR Administration, including contract preparation, recruitment activities, on-boarding/induction, and HR/payroll administrative/logistical requirements.
  • Support day to day HR management with employee on-boarding/induction, performance management and performance review planning, people management issues, employee communications and other related activities, and other operational HR matters.
  • Build capacity for the overall effective management of people, and improve processes relating to the employee life-cycle within the scope.
  • Contribute and play a leading role in the planning and coordination of allocated HR projects and HR process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide ad-hoc and project support for other administrative, project and operational matters to senior business leaders.


As an important role within Eurofins, the following selection criteria are essential:

  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to accurately and reliably prepare key auditable business documentation. Accuracy and attention to detail are a fundamental requirement of this position.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Human Resources position. Experience in an administrative support role will also be an advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial compliance e.g. Fair Work, Awards/Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources / Psychology / Business Administration or similar, or candidates currently studying towards their degree, will be an advantage.
  • Experience in project management and working in technical environments will also be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of standard office applications; especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • General knowledge about systems and IT will be an advantage.

Additional Information

  • The position is based primarily in Lane Cove, with some time spent in Silverwater, New South Wales. Note; the position will be relocated to Girraween in 2022.
  • The position can be a part time (0.8 FTE) or a full-time position, to suit the successful candidate.
  • This position is only open to candidates that currently have working rights in Australia/New Zealand.
