ATCO's Australian operations are headquartered in Perth, Western Australia and specialise in creating innovative, customer focused energy and infrastructure solutions. ATCO owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network with more than 750,000 connection points and 14,000km of pipelines. ATCO also operates two progressive power generation stations - in Adelaide and the Pilbara.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Manager Health & Safety to join our HSE operations team based at our Jandakot office. This position reports to the General Manager HSE.

Using your technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills, you will play a key role as a change agent within the organisation to facilitate and implement health and safety cultural transformation objectives.

Leading the operational health and safety team, you will provide technical advice, support and coaching as well as playing a key leadership role in influencing line management in the fulfilment of their health and safety accountabilities.

What you will contribute to:
Develop, implement, monitor and review HS systems, requirements and initiatives for performance improvements.
Provide management, support and coaching to the HSE operations team.
Provide day-to-day technical advice and support to line managers.
Develop and implement HS training programs including cultural change behavioural-based safety programs across the organisation.
Manage the workers’ compensation and injury management processes.
Ensure an effective audit and inspection program is in place to ensure compliance with the health, safety management system and identify opportunities for improvement.
Review & evaluate tenders, suppliers and contractor HS Plans and Performance.

About you:
Solid experience in a health and safety leadership position ideally within the utilities, resources or construction industry.
Advanced Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
Knowledge and application of health, safety and workers’ compensation legislation and standards.
Experience in the development of HS management systems.
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of incident / accident investigation methodologies.
