About The Role

This 12 month fixed term contract, you will provides front line human resources support to the business managers and employees within the Asia Pacific portfolio with a particular focus on benefits, relocations and mobility . This is a high tempo, end to end role in a complex business with multiple employing entities. In this role, partnering with the HR senior team, you will gain experience across all aspects of the employment life cycle.

HR Services - Asia

  • Support the HR Manager Asia to deliver day to day HR support to the Asian managers and employees in line with the Global HR business group requirements by responding to questions, advising on policies,
  • Undertake day to day HR services including management of employee files and documentation, onboarding and offboarding processes, liaising with other stakeholders to ensure a seamless process.
  • Participate in the administration of payroll, group benefits and pension plans.
  • Under the supervision of the HR Manager Asia, ensure HR policies and processes are in place in each country and keep up to date.
  • Support in the management of benefits plans for Asia including pension, insurance, wellbeing and other allowances and perks
  • Ensure that all necessary and appropriate HR policies and processes are in place and are compliant with legislation and SOX requirements.
Workday systems expertise - APAC
  • Maintain Workday data accurately ensuring all data is entered in a timely fashion and is aligned to global requirements
  • Responsible for implementation of Workday testing, reviews and improvements in line with changing requirements.
Project Management - Asia
  • Support the HR Manager in the implementation of Health & Wellbeing programs, training and development programs.
  • Implement the performance management approach and process
Relocations - APAC
  • Administer relocations across the region including drafting of relocation documentation and management of relocation logistics
  • Day to day liaison with immigration, third party relocation providers and tax advisers to deal with basic relocation issues.
  • Ensure Workday data remains accurate via Workday report reviews
  • Undertake reporting to internal Brookfield teams on headcount, compliance designations, recruitment and other
  • Undertake board reporting on HR matters for our Asian companies
  • Updating position descriptions
  • Preparation of roles on Workday and hiring actions on Workday.
  • Preparation of employment contracts
  • Assisting APAC recruiter with background and reference checks
  • Opening employee files
  • Administer probationary reviews ensuring all managers are aware of the process, requirements and deadline. Follow up when necessary.
  • Manage the performance cycle on Workday (HRIS) ensuring staff complete their tasks, processing Workday forms and provide guidance when required
  • Coordinate the communication on the performance assessment system, timelines, training, reminders etc

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the HR Coordinator
  • Approve and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with events and training coordination

About You

To be successful in this role, it is expected you possess the following
  • A minimum of 2 years HR experience in a financial services or large complex corporate environment supporting HR management
  • Experience in Workday and Coupa highly advantageous but not required
  • Experience in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, Visio etc
  • Payroll understanding advantageous but not essential
  • Able to respond quickly and efficiently to employee requests
  • Strong organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of data entry and transferring of information
  • Demonstrated skills and resilience to be able to work in a fast, high pressure, highly demanding working environment
  • Excellent command of English (including spelling and grammar) and another Asian language, i.e. Chinese, Japanese or Korean
  • Willingness to learn and shows own initiative
  • Able to interact at all levels within the organisation and external contacts
