Job Description

Bring your passion for training and ability to think boldly to drive the Learning and Development, Training and OD function for Tiffany & Co. Australia & New Zealand. We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced and talented Training Manager to join our HR team. 

Based at our Luxury Sydney Office’s you will be reporting directly to the Director of Education and Development APAC based in Singapore with a dotted line to the Director of Human Resources – ANZ.



Responsibilities

Strong partnership with key stakeholders including Market Leader, Retail Training & Support Manager, Sales Leader, Human Resources and Regional Education to enhance the knowledge and skills of Tiffany employees in the Australian and New Zealand market.

 Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To


  • Design and develop local training programs and organisation development initiatives to address ANZ specific business needs, in partnership with HR and Regional L&D. 
  • Implement consistent and comprehensive leadership effectiveness training programs in line with Global, Regional and Local Initiatives to elevate capabilities in individual roles & responsibilities
  • Implementing training programs, assessment and qualifications systems to develop product expertise, service, selling and clienteling skills, improve store efficiencies, drive retail excellence, optimizing sales professional’s productivity as well as brand loyalty, and market share growth
  • Drive first 90 Day Program for all new employees, which includes training on Tiffany & Co. history, purpose and values; product; customer service and client development.
  • Implementing coaching, train the trainers program to build and drive an effective coaching culture amongst the store leadership for performance acceleration. Example: Collaborate with and support Store Training Partners to ensure the effective and consistent delivery of in-store training
  • Develop and deliver training for new retail leaders to support their transition into management.
  • Partner with the HR team to develop HR Management training content for people leaders to build their capability across talent management practices such as: Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Recognition, Development and Succession Planning
  • Partner with Human Resources Team on any change management initiatives
  • Plan and create clear training calendar aligned with key market events, program launches and new store openings
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and review training programs to ensure they achieve on training objectives and drive business performance. Ensure the ROI is measurable, and the training has a positive impact on the business.
  • Provide cost analysis and conduct logistics planning and coordination for training events including venues, accommodation, food and beverage and training materials for the Australian & New Zealand market.
  • Partner with APAC L&D Team and support to deliver Global, APAC and local leadership programs



To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have


  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years training and coaching experience in similar retail sales, clienteling service, team management and leadership skill
  • Learning & Development, HR or Psychology degree preferable
  • Demonstrated change management experience and an in depth understanding of approaches required to enable the successful adoption of new practices, approaches and structures.
  • Strong communication, training, presentation, facilitation, observation, coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Skill to plan and deliver results in a highly demanding environment
  • Experience in “Strengths coaching”, “MBTI”, neuroscience or Positive Psychology will be highly regarded
  • Business-driven attitude with a focus on results and continuous improvement
  • A team player, inclusive and culturally sensitive, accountable and adaptable
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities for presentation and reporting (advanced Excel preferable)
  • Knowledge of instructional design and experience with e-learning and virtual training will be an advantage
  • Highly regarded: Professional knowledge of diamond and gemstone (Graduate Gemologist certificate)
