JOB DESCRIPTION

Advisor HR, Temporary, PARRAMATTA


We are seeking a driven HR professional to join the people and culture team at the Department of Customer Service on a temporary basis for a period of up to 6 months with the possibility of extension.


Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, the HR Advisor is responsible for providing consistent operational HR advice and support to internal clients on a range of human resource management processes and services to support the delivery of the people and culture strategy.


This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner with strong case management experience, and an ability to multi-task and manage customer expectations.


The team are working on exciting people projects including organisational and role design, digital reform, restructures and realignments, strategic workforce planning as well as contributing to organisational and cultural transformation.


This role works directly with clients as part of the HR Business Partnering team and is supported by the Centres of Excellence teams.


A talent pool may be created through this recruitment process and be used to fill future ongoing and or temporary vacancies.


To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:


  • Experience in a HR Advisory/consulting role
  • Demonstrated IR/ER case management experience
  • Proven ability in talent management experience including performance reviews, performance management, coaching and development.
  • Strong decision-making and prioritisation along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in role design, preferably Mercer qualified but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully establish and build on relationships with senior leaders, coaching them to manage the performance of their staff and to maximise their own leadership potential
  • A track record of delivering client focused HR advice and support, to build staff engagement and support the development of high performing and efficient teams
  • Strong ethics and values that align to our customer service culture

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $97,443 base plus superannuation
