  • Join our People Partnering & Services team supporting the Digital portfolio
  • Work between Parramatta and Homebush offices (close to the train stations) with flexible WFH options available
  • 13 month maximum term parental leave contract (with start date early July 2021)

Purpose of the role

In this fixed term contract, you will partner with multiple leaders and managers across Sydney Water's Digital team to support them with all facets of People & Culture. This includes People Strategies, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Organisational Development, Talent, and Culture.

Our leaders will look to you for coaching on best practice people management strategies, and you will thrive providing actionable advice while supporting multiple stakeholders, switching between daily operations, short and long-term initiatives.

About the role

Working closely with the People Partner, you will support the Digital division with the implementation of the corporate people plan, ensuring achievement of their people objectives

As the voice of your portfolio group, you will ensure unique considerations regarding the division are considered as part of corporate People & Culture initiatives, programs, processes, and decisions

You will work hand in hand with our specialist People & Culture teams, ensuring corporate initiatives are rolled out and effectively adopted by the business

You will be involved in portfolio specific projects such as organisational design and workforce planning but will also proactively support the portfolio with completion of a full scope of HR cyclical activities such as goal setting, remuneration reviews, leave planning, capability uplift, people reporting, coaching and performance.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or 5 years relevant HR Experience
  • You have a strong back in a senior HR generalist role - and have experience in or are looking to extend your experience in a partnering function
  • You can work autonomously - prioritising competing tasks of your portfolio and the People & Culture team
  • You are comfortable working across the broad spectrum of generalist HR activities and enjoy juggling various projects and tasks during your day
  • You are known for your clear communication skills and are someone who can adapt their style to suit audiences at different levels of the organisation and easily translate complex people concepts in plain English
  • You have a strong eye for detail when it comes to reviewing data and completing documents
  • You love problem solving and can dissect business challenges and develop tangible people solutions to resolve them
  • High volume workloads keep you out of trouble, and you manage conflicting priorities and deadlines with ease
  • Experience working with Enterprise Agreements and in a unionised organisation is ideal, but not essential
