The opportunity

Our People and Capability Department has an exciting opportunity for a savvy and hands on HR Systems and Projects Advisor to join our team on a full time basis for a fixed term period of 12 months. Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, you will lead the implementation of Council's workforce management system (Equifax) and support the continuous improvement of key upcoming human resources projects.

A Key Focus Of This Role Will Be To
  • Collaborate with internal customers to review end to end processes and design enhanced human resources processes to streamline operational flows and maximise digitialisation opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver training to the key stakeholders in the business on the workforce management system and other key HR projects

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of Councils workforce management system (Equifax) including recruitment, performance and termination modules in accordance with business requirements
  • Work with the Manager People and Capability and the Coordinator Human Resources on the development of workforce management data and strategies for the wider organisation
  • Collaborate with the IT and Finance teams to investigate, review and resolve all data integrity issues
  • Contribute to the development of digital HR solutions including designing online forms to manage employee lifecycle transactions
  • Undertake human resources policy and procedure reviews and recommend improvements to the Manager People and Capability and Coordinator Human Resources
  • Review, design, develop and implement human resources forms to enable them to be completed digitally and work flowed electronically
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
  • A tertiary qualification in human resource management or related discipline with some relevant experience in the human resource management environment; knowledge and experience in local government is an advantage, however, this is not essential
  • Previous experience implementing a fit for purpose HR / workforce management system in a large complex organisation with full systems lifecycle experience
  • Previous experience facilitating system and process training to staff including the development of materials and resources that support learning outcomes
  • No relevant criminal record found in a police check
