Right now, we are on the search for a dynamic, innovative, and strategic People and Culture Manager.

About The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and based out of our newly renovated Clayton support office, you will partner with our senior management team to build an engaged, skilled, and ethical workforce that can achieve company goals now and into the future.

You will provide expert advice and assistance on the full employee lifecycle, as well as identify areas for development and recommend appropriate people management solutions in relation to organisational development, culture, and change.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • To manage the ‘people’ components of the Company to position William Adams as a leader within our industry, and as a Caterpillar Dealer
  • Effective management of the People and Culture (P&C) framework including performance management, policies and programmes, resource planning, compliance, & employee development
  • To influence and lead the strategic direction of the following functions: Learning & Development, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Health, Wellbeing and Injury Management
  • Leading and managing the Learning and Development department
  • Ensure best practice and the ongoing development of a high performing and engaged workforce
  • Provide advice regarding remuneration and benefits strategy
  • To plan, lead and execute the strategic direction, functional responsibilities and service delivery of the P&C function

Your ability to easily flex between operational and strategic initiatives, and demonstrated experience coordinating and implementing strategic organisational change initiatives will be critical to your success.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • Substantial experience in all aspects of P&C and OD, with particular strengths in Learning and Development
  • Demonstrable experience in managing complex employee matters in an industrial and diverse environment
  • Proven experience in all areas of IR and ER, as well as change and project management
  • Detailed knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant industrial instruments
  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in managerial and leadership positions in P&C
  • Exceptional attention to detail, as well as planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage and delivery on a large program of work
