At MCCGC-CÜRA , we deliver a wide range of services to help multicultural communities, seniors and people with disability stay independent, active, and connected. Reporting to the People and Culture Officer the People and Culture Assistant, will support the day-to-day operations in HR.

YOUR responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who has the ability to.

  • Assist with onboarding and recruiting activities where required.
  • Gather analytical data through surveys.
  • Manage and maintain HRIS systems (ELMO)
  • Maintain employee and volunteer records.
  • Keep track of volunteering attendance logs and reports.
  • Liaise with our volunteers, customers and/or relevant third-party agencies via phone or email.
  • Collect, correctly store, and manage compliance documents.
  • Provide support in implementing HR initiatives.
  • Assist with managing events and team building activities.
  • Assist with all L&D administration and activities for employees.
  • Navigate and work alongside relevant vocational and tertiary training providers.
  • Assist with all WHS administration and activities.
  • Undertake administrative duties including maintaining the HR and Recruitment Inboxes
  • Support and advocate MCCGC-CÜRA mission, vision, and values

As the successful candidate, you will also be:

  • Proficient in written and spoken.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Video conferencing apps i.e., Zoom, Teams.
  • Excellent in communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in recruitment, careers and or employment services.
  • Able to facilitate induction and training sessions.
  • A team player who can work with colleagues and other departments to achieve results.

About YOU:

  • A Certificate in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an administrative position or experience within Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast - CÜRA
  • Must hold a current Driver’s License.
  • Hold a current National Police Certificate or has the ability to obtain one.
  • Hold a Working with Children’s Check (Blue Card) and Disability Services positive exemption notice card (Yellow Card)
  • Hold the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Desirable to have knowledge/experience working in the community care sector with culturally and linguistically diverse individuals.
