About the Role:


This position will lead Performance Management and the Learning and Development strategy at BDI. It will identify and deploy programs to develop and maintain a focus on creating a culture of high performance across the organisation. With a focus on leadership and mentoring this role is responsible for measuring and building capability across all areas of the Institute in line with strategic priorities

Key Duties:

  • Partnering with the People and Culture and leadership teams to understand organisational development needs for the BDI, leading the development of targeted opportunities that support strategic priorities.
  • Develop and implement a Learning and development framework across the Institute with clearly identified learning objectives incorporating a variety of effective, innovative and dynamic learning initiatives including coaching or mentoring
  • Engage and manage a suite of external and internal trainers that will contribute to the Learning and Development program.
  • Build relationship with UNSW to source development opportunities and build research capability.
  • Provide regular reporting presenting relevant learning and development data, evaluation reports, initiatives, outcomes and action plan achievements to inform future learning and development decisions
  • Lead and design the BDI performance management program aligned to operational KPI's including evaluation and measurement standards
  • Cooperate with the Operations lead and P&C BP'S to coordinate the performance management process and provide support to managers on activities relating to performance management


About You:

The successful candidate will have the following:

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum 5 years of progressive relevant work experience in a related area of HR and/or relevant HR qualification
  • Experience leading a performance management program based on KPI's and strategic objectives.
  • Experience with a LMS and developing a Learning and development framweork
  • Experience with data collection tools
  • Working knowledge of online systems and HRIS platforms. Experience with ELMO would be highly regarded
  • Ability to generate and analyze various performance metrics using reporting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience In the NFP sector
