JOB DESCRIPTION

DTH Engineering PTY LTD are a leader in engineering solutions which have recently expanded to a spacious workshop in the thriving industrial area of Henderson. DTH Engineering Pty LTD Design, Fabricate and Install large projects to support the Mining, Engineering & Construction industries across Western Australia.

Due to our expansion we currently seeking an experienced and qualified Human Resources Officer, the purpose of this role is to coordinate with Employees. This includes recruitment, creating job descriptions, onboarding, site inductions, development, retention and separation. This role also is responsible for all HR administration to support these processes. It also includes identifying areas for continuous improvement we currently have a team of 40 and growing rapidly.

We are looking for a confident, responsible, very independent and reliable candidate who has a can-do positive attitude and is available to start immediately, or within a 2 week period.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for recruitment & selection, orientation & onboarding, assisting with performance management processes, training & development.
  • Responsible for the orientation of new employees
  • Conduct orientation training.
  • Ensure that orientation administration is completed and recorded.
  • Coordinate with operational delivery of HR services and support to staff
  • Maintenance of employee records and HR administration.
  • Ensure that HR records and staff files meet compliance requirements.
  • Preparation of HR input to audit and other compliance requirements
  • Maintain close links with Managing Director, Operations Manager & other managers over the management and professional development of staff members.
  • Drug and alcohol testing procedures and monitoring
  • Contribute and develop the continual improvement of HR policies and procedures.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and maintain professional knowledge of trends and changes in the HR field.
  • Assist with administrative support to answer all calls in a timely and professional manner and manage enquiries redirect calls to appropriate relevant department.
  • Conducting reference checks
  • Monitoring organisation's emails
  • Perform other reasonable duties.
  • Coordinate shut down teams and provide necessary support for shut down coordinator including organising of PPE and liaising with the crew on locations and inductions.
  • Amending, preparing and issuing employment contracts, positions descriptions, policies and procedures
  • Provide ongoing employee relations information and advice to staff and managers.
  • Return to Work Coordination, supporting injured staff and managers to ensure successful injury management and return to work including incident investigation and reporting.
  • Administration site portal access for new and departing staff.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' previous experience within a similar role
  • Certificate level or higher qualification in HR
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Knowledge of HR legislation, regulations, Awards and Industrial agreements
  • Extremely strong administration, communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering work to a high standard.
  • Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people.
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills in MS office
  • Previous experience assisting with recruitment and onboarding.
