The Company

Flinders Port Holdings is South Australia’s leading port services group, and owner of Flinders Ports, Flinders Logistics and Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal – the State’s only container operator. They also provide Hydrographic survey services through HydroSurvey Australia, a division of their ports business, Flinders Ports.

They are diverse and committed to delivering the highest quality port services including pilotage, mooring, launch services, port infrastructure, stevedoring, shipping infrastructure management, land infrastructure management, survey and marine control, stevedoring and logistics operations.

The role

This role is reporting to the Group Human Resources Manager and as the Senior HR Business Partner for driving and implementing people strategies across the Flinders Port Holding Group. This is a full-time permanent position based in head office in Port Adelaide.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business units and provide high level advice and direction to leaders within the group regarding the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance development and management.
  • Support the business manage the people implications of organizational change, provide change management strategies and advice.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and support the business units goals including, building capability and succession planning.
  • Mentor and coach leaders within the group in performance management and disciplinary action
  • Conducting workplace investigations report recommendations to assist the development and review to ensure compliance is maintained with policies and procedures.

  • About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Humans Resources Management
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated business partnering experience across significantly varied stakeholder groups.
  • Experience dealing with industrial issues in a heavily unionised environment
  • Experience handling investigations being met by internal and external scrutiny
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
