Full Time - Permanent Role - Monday to Friday

This position supports GCLA’s values, goals and direction through the provision of confidential HR functions and activities and ensures governance of HR records, policies and procedures. The position is required to assist in aligning organisational objectives with employees and management in delegated departments and works collectively to provide advice and support to the HR Manager and HR team to develop and contribute to continuous improvement and implementation of HR functions and plans.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrate knowledge , champions and promoted the knowledge and application of HR Policies & Procedures
  • Support the HR Team by facilitating and advising on end-to-end recruitment processes and assisting in workplace investigations and performance and disciplinary matters.
  • Maintain operational data and ensure data entry is accurate at all times.
  • Provide confidential support to Internal and External stakeholders.
  • Prepare routine written correspondence and documents.
  • Maintain and promote compliance with GCLA policies, guidelines, processes, and Work Instructions in the performance of work.
  • Required to demonstrated impartiality, use initiative, and apply attention in the performance of work.
  • Required to undertake other duties as directed and where in line with skills, knowledge, and experience.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Keyboard skills and experienced in the use of Microsoft office, phones, and business information systems.
  • Demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations ,awards, agreements and policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of HR processes.
  • Time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to meet and achieve deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to use initiative and apply attention to detail and accuracy to work.
  • Professional approach at observing and applying confidentiality.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and independently.

Mandatory Requirements to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Human Resources or higher.
  • Minimum 2 years HR generalist experience working in a similar role together with an equivalent level of expertise to undertake the position responsibilities.
  • Working with children Blue Card
  • NDIS Worker Screening or current Disability Positive Yellow Card
  • NDIS Workers Module
  • National Police Check
  • Current Valid Driver’s Licence
