Ahrens is a fourth-generation South Australian family-owned business, Ahrens has expanded and grown over more than 110 years to be a one-stop shop for all our clients€™ complete project needs. Ahrens currently employs almost 800 people nationally however this number continues to increase as we experience further significant growth.

We currently have 2 x positions available to join our close-knit Human Resources team in the role of Human Resources Coordinator. The positions will be 1 x full-time role on a 12-month fixed term contract and 1 x permanent full-time position. These positions will be based at our Adelaide office with the requirement and flexibility to work from other offices as required.

You will support the business by providing -

  • Generalist human resources support across the company€™s divisions and administrative support to HR processes, procedures and systems
  • Coordination and participation in end-to-end recruitment and selection processes across a diverse range of professions
  • Administration and coordination of the on/off boarding processes
  • Administration of employment related correspondence such as drafting employment contracts
  • Administration of employment changes, ensuring all changes and variations are accurately actioned
  • Coordination of 3 and 6 month reviews, escalating concerns as needed
  • Guidance and support to all employees when interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and HR Policies
  • Advising and supporting line managers on workplace legislation, employment law and awards, ensuring compliance
  • Proactive service and to all internal and external customers
  • Support on Human Resources projects and initiatives as required

Experience and requirements -

  • Experience in Human Resource administration and knowledge of recruitment, and or experience in a similar role
  • Ability to interpret and apply Industrial and Enterprise Agreements, and knowledge of National Employment Standards
  • High level of attention to detail and proven ability to priorities and multi-task.
  • Excellent organisational skills, and priority setting
  • A proactive, profession with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people
  • High personal integrity with an understanding of and commitment to confidentiality
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills, including high level reporting skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to be successful in a dynamic environment
