People & Capability Co-Ordinator

About the Company

One Harvest is a company that has grown to include four facilities working across Australia that grow, harvest, process and supply produce to supermarkets and green grocers across the country. These products include prepacked salads and vegetables, prepared deli salads and fresh-cooked beetroot.

About the Role

Partnering with One Harvest we are now seeking a People & Capability Co-Ordinator for a 12-month maternity leave placement to join our salad-processing factory in Bairnsdale. You will report directly to the People & Capability Manager and assist with HR related activities, enhancing our operations and exceeding targets. This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate in accordance with experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating rosters
  • Support and conduct induction and onboarding of new employees
  • Assist with minute taking and distribution
  • Recruitment back-up when required
  • System input of training records
  • Support the transition over to new HRIS
  • HR support as required
  • Assisting the payroll department when required
  • Admin duties (e.g. processing of leave forms, covering gaps in roster, responding to sick line etc)

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Business / HR qualification is desirable
  • High level of working knowledge with MS Office, particularly excel
  • Experience with work cover is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and outside to external service providers
  • Strong administration skills
  • Proven ability to deliver against set objectives
  • Well developed and proven organisational skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Experience or knowledge about recruitment processes
  • Desire to expand on current HR skills/knowledge
