We need you

Miwatj Health are pleased to offer this as a permanent full time opportunity. Based in our Darwin office and reporting into the Recruitment Team Lead you will provide essential recruitment and administrative support to effectively carry out the Miwatj Health recruitment and onboarding function whilst ensuring a positive recruitment experience for all new and existing staff. As the Recruitment Officer, core aspects of your role will include:

  • Provide recruitment advice and administrative support to the Recruitment Team Lead and other managers throughout the recruitment and job advertising process using the SCOUT recruitment platform.
  • Prepare and issue all MHAC employment contracts in accordance with relevant legislation, employment regulations, EA and policy frameworks.
  • Communicate with and respond to all enquiries in relation to recruitment and employment contracts of staff.
  • Communicate and organize with Miwatj Health Travel and other appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure that the recruitment and contracting process is seamless and provides a positive experience for new starters.
  • Ensure all recruitment and contracting documents and internal transactions are managed and processed in a timely fashion.

A competitive salary of $61,325 - $68,168 per annum (dependent on skills and experience) plus Super and a comprehensive range of benefits are provided with this full-time position.

Whilst knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture is helpful, what will really see you thrive in our communities is an open mind, willingness to be exposed to culture, and curiosity. Before you reach out and apply, we need you to have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and in a multicultural environment.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in Human Resources.
  • Experience in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Knowledge of contemporary recruitment and onboarding practice.
  • Ability to achieve successful conflict resolution through negotiation and mediation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture highly desirable.
  • Previous experience within a recruitment agency or high volume internal recruitment preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check and OCHRE card.
