An exiting and unique opportunity has been newly created for Leadership Performance & Development Officer to join the People and Culture Team.

Working Closely with the People and Culture Manager, the primary responsibility of the Leadership Performance & Development Officer is to increase the effectiveness of the organisation, its leaders and people by developing and implementing learning and development initiatives, strategies, processes and systems that support the health service's vision, mission, values and strategic priorities.

To be suitable for the role you will possess the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of approaches used within organisations for managing talent and developing leadership capability including training needs analysis; program development, design and implementation; evaluation and assessment of learning and development activities; understanding of how competency frameworks are used to underpin development activities.
  • Experience spanning the types of learning and organisational development activities relevant to Star Health including induction, technical skills development, graduate development, leadership and management development, performance management, succession planning and talent management.
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation,negotiation, conflict management, analytical problem solving and effective facilitation skills.

Ideally, you will possess:

  • A qualification, in particular; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment [TAE40116] (or equivalent)
  • Experience in the application of adult learning principles and contemporary learning and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer and manage projects and programs incorporating submission writing, planning, costing and financial control.
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in job design and evaluation including supporting managers implementing organisational reform.
  • A clear understanding of health business drivers and how the business can be supported through learning and organisation development initiatives.
