The opportunity:

As a Human Resources Business Partner, reporting to the GM of People & Culture Business Partnering, you’ll work closely with our Senior Human Resources Business Partner to drive positive people outcomes.

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner who has competency across the full employee life cycle but with particular strengths in employee attraction and retention strategies within a customer and/or service business unit. You’ll also have sound experience in providing coaching and support to leaders relating to performance management.

Please note this is a permanent opportunity and we are currently accepting applications from Sydney and Melbourne candidates.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Coach leaders through formal performance management processes (coaching, counselling, disciplinary actions) and advise leaders on employee relations matters. Review of long-term absence and overpayments

  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary

  • Work collaboratively with P&C Centre’s of Excellence (COE’s) to effectively implement a people initiative across business units and develop and deliver solutions

  • Deliver in-house learning & development initiatives as needed

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal (employment & safety) requirements related to day to day management of employees reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification – Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) preferred

  • Strong understanding of contemporary HR Best Practice current practice particularly in talent management, development, engagement, and retention & employment legislation

  • Solid experience in a specialist or generalist Human Resources Business Partnering preferably in a high-volume customer service or processing environment

  • Well-developed Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) skills. Familiar with HRIS/HCM system Workday

  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, sound judgement and ability to work with competing priorities and manage expectations

  • Significant team orientation

  • Be comfortable with and able to navigate effectively within a dynamic high change environment
