THE ORGANISATION

Our client is one of four critical departments that support the highest level of government - the Australian Parliament. They provide services to support the functioning of Australian Parliament and the work of parliamentarians.

THE OPPORTUNITY

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced APS6 Learning and Development Manager to assist in providing strategic advice on corporate learning and development functions to ensure ongoing integration with the departmental workforce needs and priorities.

This is a busy and growing HR area that will requires a candidate to be flexible and adaptable to changing and competing priorities.

This is a great opportunity for high performing APS5 who want to move up a level or for a current APS6 looking for a change.

THE ROLE
Research and advise on innovative learning strategies, courses and systems to support core capability development and cultural change
Schedule and manage learning and development activities
Undertake quality assurance tasks to ensure the accuracy and currency of courses
Contribute to the development of HR related policies and procedures, guidelines and departmental reports
Build strong effective partnerships with stakeholders
Identify opportunities to provide efficient, effective, and innovative learning and development solutions
YOUR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

To succeed in this role, you will be passionate about Learning and Development. You enjoy working within and across teams and are committed to developing strong and effective working relationships with stakeholders. You will be a flexible, creative, and energetic team member who shows initiative while being able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.

You will also have strong attention to detail and a commitment to creating and delivering high-quality work.

  • Due to security requirements, Australian citizenship is mandatory to be considered for this role.
SALARY / RATE
$85K - $95K + 15.4% Super
Free onsite parking
6 month non-ongoing with option to extend
