The University is investing in Advancement as part of its move to a more sustainable financial footing and we are now seeking applications for a Learning and Development Consultant to be part of the Advancement portfolio.

About our portfolio

This is a unique opportunity to bring your exceptional L&D experience to upskill the most successful fundraising team in Australia, having completed the nation's first $1 billion fundraising campaign and embarking on the next. This role reports into the wider Organisational Development team and is embedded in the Advancement Portfolio to support a wide range of fundraising and engagement activities.

The role will see you applying your learning and development experience and expertise to accurately evaluate business needs and work across a complex stakeholder network to develop highly effective training solutions that deliver measurable performance improvements. You will join a team of committed and hands-on professionals and on any day might be:

  • Identifying and evaluating individual and wider team needs, providing appropriate recommendations and working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to implement and evaluate the selected solution.
  • Leading transformational changes that impact staff experience such as onboarding, learning and development or performance management and improvement.
  • Project managing design, development and implementation of eLearning and bespoke training for capability and leadership development.
  • Developing frameworks and curating tools and resources that support staff and leaders to excel.

  • experience in delivering a range of solutions including policy, process, systems, incentives, capability and communication solutions
  • the perseverance and project management skills to overcome barriers and deliver on-time and on-budget in a complex environment
  • the ability to collaborate well across multiple stakeholder networks
  • excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop high quality senior stakeholder material in short time frames.


Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University. Similarly your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
