Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will partner with your key stakeholders across our Retail business, providing sound advice that aligns with the business strategy whilst mitigating risk. You’ll also be leading and managing special projects across the Group.

This role will require a highly energetic and driven People and Culture professional whose experience spans both retail and corporate working environments with a great can do attitude.

The day to day

  • You’ll be partnering with the Retail group to provide sound advice and achieve business objective in line with legal requirements.
  • Coaching and guiding managers on all aspects of leadership & performance management.
  • Leading, manage, drive and maintain P&C processes for your client group, including Performance management; Salary review process; Employee development; Organisational change management; Employee labour relations.
  • Identifying and implementing areas for improvement within P&C processes.
  • Reporting; complete monthly and adhoc reports for the P&C team & Business.
  • Manage H&S and WC matters for your client group
  • Keeping abreast of relevant legislative changes and topics.
  • Providing training and education sessions to managers on all things P&C.

What you will need to be successful…

  • You’ll have extensive experience in a People and Culture leadership or Partnering role.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on coaching & mentoring.
  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resources practices and organisational policies.
  • You’ll have great relationship management, influencing skills and business partnering capability.
  • Knowledge of IR/ER and OH&S legislation and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the business up to CEO level.
  • Be able to roll up your sleeves and get work done
  • Minimum Grad Diploma qualification or equivalent level of work experience.
