About the role
As the Safety & HR Manager for Recycling Plastics Australia (RPA) you will work with the General Manager to ensure the business is fully compliant and meets the required safety and cultural protocols. The successful candidate will require a presence on the manufacturing floor to guarantee a safe working environment as well as an ability to recruit, train and reward staff through-out the business. With a substantial plant expansion set in 12 months, this role requires a flexible, dedicated employee that can work to strict deadlines and effectively delegate duties as required.

Duties
  • Ensure safety performance is continually improving against reported KPI’s (perform gap analysis to ensure continuous improvement)
  • Develop, educate, and implement Safety Performance measurements approved by General Manager.
  • Participate in skills matrix evaluations and succession planning
  • Develop a leadership team with clear succession plan.
  • Manage all RTW and disciplinary processes and issues.
  • Utilising Skytrust for all Safety and HR processes and documentation.
  • Conduct safety auditing and systematic enforcement processes (focusing on Risk and Hazard)
  • Advertise, interview, and recruit workforce.
  • Maintain the HR filing process with a high level of ethics.
Skills & experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Proven experience applying safety and environment legislation in the work environment
  • South Australian driver’s license
  • Experience within the manufacturing, mining, construction, or operations industry
  • Diploma or greater qualification in Human Resources
  • Proven experience within WHS
