We have a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate/budding HR professional to join our People & Culture Team. You will be joining a small yet experienced and passionate group of people, who work in a fast-paced, high volume environment. You will gain exposure to, and support, a raft of BAU and specialised HR project activities; for example, recruitment, Learning & Development, employee engagement initiatives and onboarding and offboarding. Additionally, you will be responsible for the coordination and compliance activities of the team, as well as having the opportunity to own other small projects.

You will be highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities. You will be great at problem solving and naturally proactive, with strong attention to detail. Above all, your ability to anticipate the needs of the team, build relationships across the organisation and deliver results in a changing environment will allow you to shine.

In this role the successful candidate will:

  • Support the day to day document production requirements for the function, including but not limited to letters, job descriptions, contracts, reports and presentations;
  • Maintenance of soft and hard copy filing and document storage for the department;
  • Maintenance of the HRIMS including new hire and leaver details, role and salary changes, reporting line changes, changes of personal details, training and CPD records;
  • End to end coordination of events including training sessions, workshops, lunch and learns, CEO Lunches and wellness initiatives;
  • Support the Learning & Development (L&D) Framework by owning the pre-session set up activities, including, workbook preparation, room set up, attendee confirmation and general follow up;
  • Assist with recruitment activities;
  • Assist with induction of new hires including requesting and collating paperwork, accurate data entry and management of sensitive information;
  • Keep departmental procedures up to date;
  • Provide diary management and meeting coordination for the General Manager, People & Culture;
  • Support ad-hoc project work;
  • Confidently interact with senior managers and a range of high-level key stakeholders across the business.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources Management, Business, Commerce or Psychology or be near to completion;
  • Strong experience in the preparation of letters, reports, contracts, presentations and spreadsheets;
  • Strong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of a HRIMS, with ConnX system experience being advantageous;
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of work and meet deadlines; and
  • Good communication and relationship building skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
