Air Liquide Australia currently has a vacancy for a Senior HSE Systems Advisor to join the team. With a flexible location within Australia, the Senior HSE Systems Advisor will lead development and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental systems and activities which ensure organisational compliance with IMS and Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations. The Senior HSE Systems Advisor ensures the continued effective operation of Air Liquide Australia’s IMS, investigates problems impacting its effectiveness and leads initiatives to improve the system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with the company's HSE management systems, external management system certifications IMS and legal and regulatory requirements
  • Drive implementation of legal, regulatory and IMS requirements across the organisation, including the drafting and implementation of procedures, systems and HSE performance measures
  • Respond to and support internal and external customer queries in relation to HSE, providing timely and flexible support
  • Where required, work closely with and influence customers regarding risk compliance
  • Coach and provide guidance to all HSEQ & IRM team members on all matters IMS (methodologies, processes, requirements) and HSE regulatory, providing practical advice
  • Ensure that IMS / HSE requirements are understood, supported and contributed to by all Managers
  • Work closely with the Management Team, IMS Process Owners, Facility Managers and teams to ensure their constant commitment to Safety and Environmental management
  • Drive ALA’s HSE Incident Management and Management Review processes
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting in line with organisational and team needs

To be successful you will have: 

  • Strong knowledge & expertise in HSEQ Management Systems in process plants, manufacturing and production facilities
  • Expert knowledge of relevant management system certification standards.
  • Solid knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations across all States and Territories
  • Sound understanding of Air Liquide IMS requirements which relate to risk
  • Application of total quality management approach to all activities
  • Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including demonstrated experience at senior leadership level.
  • Knowledge of methodologies for assessment and management of risk including: RCA, 5 whys, HAZOP, and other typical risk assessment tools
