About the role

As the Complaints Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • providing advice to clients on the Commission's dispute resolution service
  • assisting with the assessment of complaints for dispute resolution and communicating effectively with clients on complex matters in a way that is responsible to and inclusive of their diverse needs and backgrounds
  • undertaking shuttle style dispute resolution of complaints suitable for early resolution including preparation of reports and settlement agreements
  • co-ordinating complaint file management to ensure confidential information is accurately recorded, maintained, stored and archived in accordance with the Public Records Act 1973.


About you

As the Complaints Coordinator, you will possess:

  • demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and its legislation or capacity to quickly gain this knowledge
  • experience in delivering service excellence within a team environment
  • an ability to use knowledge and experience to develop and implement systems to plan and monitor own and team performance.


Keys to your success will be your highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with customers.
