The Postion

Metro has an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition specialist to deliver efficient and effective end to end recruitment solutions for specialist and technical positions. Our team focuses on ensuring that the right talent is being recruited or internally moved at the right time. We work following business objectives, workforce planning strategies and the principles of merit-based selection

This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Partner - Network Assets and Assurance and will primarily partner with areas that target technical engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will

  • Design and lead the end-to-end recruitment process for Network Assets & Assurance from understanding their workforce planning needs and designing sourcing strategy through to the offer of employment
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Partner in developing Talent Acquisition strategies in a competitive environment
  • Create and present candidate shortlists that meet the agreed campaign brief, future needs of the business and Metro diversity aspirations
  • Coach and guide hiring managers to demonstrate best practice through the recruitment and selection lifecycle and ensure compliance with Metro processes and practices
  • Have regular stakeholder contact providing updates and progressing the campaign
  • Produce analysis and reporting to support leaders manage their business

About You

To be successful, you will demonstrate

  • Previous experience in conducting recruitment activity (internal or agency); preferably in engineering
  • Sound oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in coordinating recruitment campaigns through an applicant tracking system
