Work closely with key stakeholders across the business, demonstrating your HR abilities
Fast-paced environment working with a dynamic team
Fixed term, full time opportunity until 30 November 2021

The HR Business Partner is part of a team of HR practitioners, providing HR advice and support for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation program response including:

Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers, and
Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

As a HR Business Partner, you will partner with the program to provide strategic and operational HR advice.

In the role you will:
Collaborate extensively with the program area, other HR Business Partners, and centres of excellence across People and Workplace Services, to drive high performance and accountability for initiatives and programs
Draw on specialist knowledge of HR principles and support the program by providing sound advice, being a confidential source of support and by challenging current thinking.
Complex case management, employee relations advice and support to the program.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted adviser on complex strategic and operational issues.
Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have:
Demonstrated practical experience in generalist HR delivery and/or a range of HR specialities such as recruitment, workforce planning, industrial relations, change management, or health, safety and wellbeing.
Possess a high-level understanding and knowledge of organisational development methodologies and ability to work collaboratively with the business to implement strategies to resolve business challenges.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, understand stakeholder issues and provide tactical consultancy, coaching and advice to staff.

Tertiary level degree in HR or equivalent relevant degree is highly desirable
